Stelios named Business Person of the Year at the Liverpool Daily Post Business Awards
Stelios was named Business Person of the Year at the Liverpool Daily Post North West Regional Business Awards at a presentation dinner held in the city last night. The event was attended by many prominent business people from the region.
This prestigious prize is awarded to the individual who has most effectively promoted Merseyside, and contributed to the quality of life in the region in the last year.
Since October 1997 the easyJet base at Liverpool Airport has undergone dramatic growth, with the airline now operating over 100 flights a week to a total of 9 popular European destinations. The arrival of easyJet has resulted in a significant improvement to the choice and frequency of scheduled services on offer to the population of Merseyside and the rest of the North West, as well as to business and leisure visitors arriving in the North West of England.
