Madrid-Barajas Airport is located just 8 miles northeast from the city centre of the Spanish capital of Madrid. A public bus service is provided by EMT (Madrid Municipal Transport Company) which operates a regular run between the airport and Avenida de América station in Madrid. Alternatively you can use the Madrid Metro Line, the city’s underground line, which offers quick connections into the heart of Madrid and provides links to stations on the Spanish railway network. Taxis are also available from outside all terminals, with a fare to city centre costing about €20. Should you wish to rent a car on your holidays to Madrid, there are car rental facilities available in all the terminals.
