Another great day out is a trip to the Abbazia di San Fruttusoso on the other side of the peninsula which can be reached by a 2 hour leisurely walk or by boat. This stunning fishing village is home to the ancient San Fruttuoso Abbey and the Doria tower which are extremely impressive. It is also where a massive bronze statue of Christ, Cristo degli Abissi, protector of sailors and divers sits.

The more active will be kept satisfied with numerous hiking trails along the coast and inland which boast some spectacular view. In particular, the Portofino Regional Park has a variety of trees, wildflowers and grasslands will make a great backdrop for your hike.
