Baggage - everything you need to know

On this page you will find information about our cabin baggage and hold luggage allowances.

Cabin baggage

All customers can bring ONE cabin bag up to the maximum size of 56 x 45 x 25cm including handles and wheels. Overhead locker space is limited on board the aircraft and on busy flights your cabin bag may have to go in the hold.

If you’re an easyJet Plus cardholder, FLEXI fare or Upfront or Extra Legroom customers then you  can bring ONE additional small under seat bag (handbag/Laptop) with a maximum size of 45 x 36 x 20cm which will need to be placed under the seat in front.  In order to secure your overhead locker space we recommend that you use easyJet Plus Speedy Boarding to be among the first to board the aircraft.

Hold luggage

Each item you check-in as hold luggage has to be under a certain size and weight. Its total size has to be under 275cm (to find this out simply add its length + width + height) and a standard weight of 20kg per bag, except for sporting and medical equipment.

You can add an additional weight allowance (for a fee, see below), but no item of hold luggage can weigh more than 32kg, due to health and safety restrictions. For more info about pricing, please have a look at our page on pricing and weight allowances for hold luggage and sport equipment

The easiest, quickest and cheapest way to add any hold luggage or sports equipment to your booking is online when you're booking your flight, or via Manage Bookings For a fee, you can put items in the hold. The fee can be paid in one of three ways:

  • Online or over the phone £12 - £22 per bag per flight, depending on the route and flight period
  • At the airport: £32 at bag drop or £45 at the gate.
