Jersey Sightseeing

You’ll be amazed by what you can get up to on an island measuring just nine miles by five. Jersey is jam-packed with attractions and places to visit and it’s not difficult to keep the kids (and parents) entertained too. Apart from all those beaches, sandcastles, rock pools, water sports and ice cream opportunities, you’ll also find award-winning attractions and heritage sites.

At Durrell Wildlife Park you can see over 1,400 mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians, including gorillas, orang-utans and meerkats, all set within 32 acres of beautiful surroundings. Other family-friendly attractions include aMaizin! Adventure Park with its maze, rides, games and farm animals, plus Creepy Valley Adventure Centre for aerial trekking, high ropes, zip wires and giant swings. Other attractions include Jersey’s Living Legend Village, Les Mielles Fun Zone, Aqua Splash and Jersey Bowl.

The island has a rich heritage, ranging from prehistoric tombs at La Hougue Bie, to gripping reminders of World War Two. In between, there are medieval castles, museums and manor houses. And it’s all served up in an engaging way. You can relive the WW2 Occupation at the unmissable Jersey War Tunnels, explore Mont Orgueil and Elizabeth Castles, sing along to sea shanties at the Maritime Museum and discover all about island life at the Jersey Museum.
