Porto Alegre
The genuinely warm welcome is typically Brazilian, as is the owner's occasional impromptu soft guitar playing, but it is the mouth watering smell of the feijoada, the traditional black bean stew of sausage, bacon, pancetta and ribs, that really picks you up and transports you to somewhere in the authentic heart of downtown Rio.
