Reykjavik Nightlife

Stúdentakjallarinn is where Reykjavik's student crowd hang out. The beer is cheap(ish) and the regulars are friendly and laid back. As this bar is located on the central university campus, it is a little away from the centre of the city, but there is a large selection of European beers and spirits to choose from. Sometimes football and other sports are shown on the main screen.

Kaldi Bar
Kaldi Bar is a cosy and rustic bar in central Reykjavik which serves a large selection of local craft beers and an unfiltered beer that Kaldi brews themselves. Tartan padded walls, oak floor panels, tiny round tables, and metal stools add to the uniqueness of Kaldi Bar. On a sunny day, the garden out back is a great place to enjoy the chilly Icelandic air.

Paloma Bar
Paloma Bar is an understated and often forgotten bar in the centre of Reykjavik that welcomes both locals and tourists alike. Not many bars are open early in the day, but Paloma is. Party goers can be seen from as early as 9pm drinking at the Viking Bar, sitting on stools sipping the local brew, or as late as 2am in the morning dancing on the dance floor to the best international tunes.
