Budapest Nightlife

Café des Arts & Innovation
If you want to soak up some of the heady atmosphere of Budapest as a start-up capital, Café des Arts is a good place to start. This self proclaimed art bistro and techlab is part café, part gallery, part co-working space. They've even installed a 3D printer, so you can have your phone cover and electric light shoes printed while you sip your espresso. Just one thing to note, they close early ish, around 10pm most nights.

Opera Cafe Budapest
A café inside the opera house, what an obvious sounding idea when you hear it, yet this place has only just opened. Waiters in bow ties bring champagne and Hungarian wines on silver trays. There's a menu with Hungarian comfort food dishes like goulash to soak it all up.

This is the latest addition to a cluster of bars around the small Klauzál tér park, which also includes Kisüzem and Dzzs. Behind the bar, émigré Londoner Sly, and his young English-speaking team serve up coffee and cake by day, and wine, beer and shots, lots of shots, by night. Small and friendly, open 9am until 3am.
