If you’re flying to Kefalonia then you’ll no doubt be using Kefalonia Airport, located 9 kilometres from the island’s capital, Argostoli. Flights to the airport are generally from Athens all year round and during the summer months some charter flights will fly directly there. If you choose to fly from Athens, the entire journey will take you around 45 minutes.

The airport’s ideal location means that it is only a few minutes by car to the capital.

By taxi

Taxis are readily available at the airport for visitors and often hotels and holiday providers will offer a free transfer from the airport to your accommodation.
