Departing from Helsinki International Airport

1. Check-in online


  • Whether you are travelling with cabin bag only or hold luggage, please check in online. 
  • You can check in online and print your boarding pass from 30 days and up to 2 hours before the scheduled departure of your flight.

2. Bag Drop

  • Our Bag Drop is clearly visible with our orange branding.
  • You can drop your bags at any of our desks, which opens from 4.00am. 

3. Departures


  • The departure lounge is accessible once past central security search and from there you can access any of our gates.
  • Please view the flight information boards in the departure lounge for details of your gate.

Arriving at Helsinki International Airport

  • On arrival you will be directed to the baggage collection and arrivals hall.
  • International arrivals from non-Schengen destinations are required to proceed through passport control before going to baggage collection and the arrivals hall.
  • Should you have any questions surrounding lost or damaged baggage our baggage team have a desk located immediately after passport control in the baggage hall.

A few useful tips

  • Boarding starts 45 minutes before the time of departure; you can expect to be boarded into a pre-boarding room at certain departure gates.
  • If you are a passenger with reduced mobility please contact the dedicated staff through the interphones outside the terminal building or ask for assistance at a Bag Drop desk.#
  • Helsinki Airport offers some of the first sleep pods, equipped with secure storage, power outlets and chargers. GoSleep Relaxation area is open 24h and located after the security control in Terminal 2, next to Gate 31.
  • The airport is home to a number of art exhibitions including its latest acquisition, a sculpture by artist Seppo Koho entitled Ruovikko. The view changes and the sculpture vibrates when people pass by it.

By Car

Check-in online

  • Remember to check in online and print your boarding pass for your flight. The service is free and is available from 30 days and up to 2 hours before the scheduled departure of your flight. 


Cabin bags only?
  • If you only have cabin bags you can head straight to the departure gate. Remember to check in online 30 days and up to 2 hours before the scheduled departure and to print your boarding pass ready for your flight.


Hold luggage
  • If you have hold luggage, check in online and print your boarding pass, then once at the airport, take your bags to one of the easyJet 'Bag drop' desks located in the departure hall.


Need some help?

  • If you have any specific needs or access requirements during your trip, you can request Special Assistance online through Manage Bookings or by calling our Special Assistance Team, no later than 48 hours before your scheduled departure time. 


On time
  • We recommend arriving at the airport with plenty of time before you depart so you can get through security and find your boarding gate.
