There is lots to see and do during your visit to Dubrobnik, you can take a stroll through the cobbled streets and admire the ancient architecture, explore the Rector’s Palace, which was home to the Ragusan government.
The Dominican Monastery is also worth a visit, home to many manuscripts and paintings of the Renaissance school of Ragusa. The monastery was used as a burial place therefore the floor has tombstones of many famous Ragusans.
Or simply wander through the Old Town which is crammed with cafes, restaurants and shops. It remains traffic free from 10am, so is ideal for exploring.
You will still see signs of the Serbia-Croatian War in the way of bullet holes and shrapnel, however all the damage has been repaired and a city full of history and charm remains.
