Flight Cancellations due to Volcano Eruption

Flight Cancellations due to Volcano Eruption
Last Updated 10:00 (UK Local); Next update expected 12:00 (UK Local) 25/05/2011

The Grimsvotn volcano in Iceland erupted last Saturday and the ash cloud extended over Scotland and Northern England through the course of Tuesday.
Safety is our number one priority and based on predictions from the Met Office and the Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre it is advised that Northern Parts of the United Kingdom, The Netherlands and parts of Germany have been identified as potentially having a high density of ash concentration from 00:00 on 25th May 2011.

We recommend that if you are flying from one of the following airports on 25th May 2011 that you should check your flight status before travelling to the airport.

Edinburgh
Glasgow
Newcastle
Amsterdam
Dortmund
Berlin
Copenhagen
Hamburg

As a result of the ash cloud movements throughout Tuesday, a number of flights have regrettably been cancelled.
