Reykjavik
Iceland’s
Reykjavík-Keflavík Airport is the country’s main hub for air travel, situated just 31 miles outside the country’s capital. Built by the USA in 1943, the airport has grown into a major international destination, with a modern terminal featuring several duty free shopping options.
Getting from the airport into Reykjavík is easy; buses are scheduled to coincide with flights, and a new fast freeway, opened in 2008, means that it takes less time than ever to get right into the heart of the capital.
