London Gatwick Airport Guide

London Gatwick
The transit-train which operates between the North and South terminals at London Gatwick airport is being taken out of service at the end of September 2009 for a period of ten months, as part of the airport’s major improvement project.

During this time a replacement bus service will be operating and passengers are encouraged to ensure they arrive at the correct terminal in time for their flight to avoid delays. The replacement bus journey will take longer than the service currently provided by the transit and passengers should allow for this when planning their journey through the airport.

Terminals

easyJet operates flights into and out of two terminals at London Gatwick. Your flight number indicates which terminal applies for your flights.

All flight numbers between 8000 – 8999 will operate from the North terminal.

All other flight numbers will operate from the South terminal.

Passenger notification: If the flight you have booked leaves London Gatwick before 08.30 you can check in for this flight the night before from 20:00; this will give you the opportunity to leave your baggage at the airport. You will be issued with a boarding pass so you can go straight to security for your flight the following morning.

Due to changes in UK security measures we strongly recommend that you arrive at the airport 2 hours before your departure to ensure you have sufficient time to get to your boarding gate.

By road

London Gatwick is approximately 45km (28 miles) south of London. From the M23 motorway, leave at junction 9, or take the A23 London to Brighton road.
