easyJet, the UK’s largest airline, today announced a pan-European partnership with TripAdvisor, which will see independent hotel reviews from the world’s largest travel community featured on the easyJetHotels.com website.

TripAdvisor hotel ratings, reviews and photos are now displayed on both hotel search results and description pages on easyJetHotels.com.

Reviews on the easyJetHotels site, which is powered by Hotelopia, will be available in English, French, Spanish, Italian and German. A ‘write a review’ button will also invite users to submit their own content to TripAdvisor’s more than 20 million candid reviews and opinions.

Independent studies have highlighted significant benefits of adding unbiased user-generated reviews, for consumers and businesses alike. In a survey of 360 e-commerce companies, sites that added user reviews reported very positive results:

• 56% lifted conversion
• 77% raised traffic
• 42% increased the average shopping basket
