London Nightlife

Super Tuscan
This neat little enoteca (wine bar) near Liverpool Street doesn't require you to know much about wine. Experts are on hand to suggest the perfect drop of Italian (not just Tuscan), paired with a range of small meat, cheese and vegetable plates. Of these, the panelle (Sicillian fried crisps made with chickpea flour) are a tasty mouth-amuser, while tortelloni ai funghi is a creamy dream of a dish.

JW Simpson, who lived within its walls in the 1980s. Serving up vintage delights such as Tequila and Sherry Cobbler and Port in a Storm (port, dark rum, ginger beer and lime), the intimate bar is perfect place to wile away a cosy evening with friends.

Proud Galleries
In a rather unique location, at the back of the old stables along from Camden Lock, this legendary night spot has recently reopened after a refurbishment. Attracting students and young Camden locals, the galleries are made up of two large spaces and lots of private booths with poles at the centre of each one. Needless to say, the nights here are normally even more risque than the clientele themselves and you never know if the audience is more A-list than those on stage.
