Miss Moran's - even if you are not a pipe, cigarette or cigar smoker, this shop still is worth a visit. It is a mecca for all things tobacco and is bunged full of charm. It's a great place to go for a gift that is that bit different.

Belfast was once world famous for linen production and the Irish Linen and Gift Centre specialises in all sorts of linen products. They also have quite a bit of Titanic memorable. If you're looking for a uniquely Northern Irish gift, you're sure to find it here.

Direct Wine Shipments, an Aladdin's cave of wine, is housed in an old warehouse with loads of character. It is full of wines from around the world and the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. They are more than happy for you to lose yourself amid the bottles. Watch out though; locals claim the building is haunted (5-7 Corporation Square; tel: 028 9050 8000; directwine.co.uk).

Aunt Sally's Candy Factory - if you have a sweet tooth and fancy reliving your childhood, then why not pay a visit to this old-time sweetshop. The shop aims to recreate a typical Belfast confectionary shop of the 1950s. They also have an ice-cream parlour and teahouse.
