Miss Moran's - even if you are not a pipe, cigarette or cigar smoker, this shop still is worth a visit. It is a mecca for all things tobacco and is bunged full of charm. It's a great place to go for a gift that is that bit different.

If you're in town on 6-7 April, snap up a ticket to the Johnny Cash tribute show at the Crumlin Road Gaol. This atmospheric venue is only a short distance from the city centre, and the evening promises to be a lot of fun (Crumlin Road, tel: 028 9074 1500).

Hillsborough - This picture postcard town is only about 10 miles from Belfast but it feels like another world. There are lots of great bars and restaurants as well as Hillsborough Forest Park, which is a super place to go for a walk. For lunch or dinner try The Plough Inn or the Parson's Nose. Take the M1 out of Belfast and follows signs to Hillsborough.
