Cheap flights to Seville

As Spanish as sangria and jamón serrano, Seville is where you go if you want an authentic Spanish experience.  The capital of Spain’s sunny region of Andalucía is not only home to the fictional characters of Don Juan and Carmen, but also flamenco, tapas and some of Spain’s most colourful festivals.

If you’re after a fiesta then look no further than Seville – if there’s one thing the locals here know, it’s how to throw a party. But this city is more than just dancing, drinking and eating.

As European cities go, Seville is something of a stunner boasting the world’s largest Gothic cathedral, Moorish-style palaces, and neighbourhoods like Santa Cruz that are packed with cobblestone streets, white-washed houses and hidden squares galore. And to top it all the weather’s not bad either – think hot summers, winters with temperatures that hover around 18 degrees and more than 300 days of sunshine a year.

Head for the web of pedestrian streets around famous Calle Sierpes for some intriguing and idiosyncratic small shops. Calle Cuna is particularly known for its fabulous wedding dress retailers.

April 2013
Andalucia's most extravagant feria takes place this month from 16 to 21 April. Expect non-stop flamenco with fabulous frilly dresses and plenty of fino (sherry). Get ready to stay up all night though, because hotels get booked up months in advance.
