Aeroporto da Madeira is located approximately 16 kms from the city of Funchal.

By car
Motorway R101 connects Funchal and the airport. Journey time is approximately 30 minutes.

By coach
There are public bus services to Funchal, Canico and Machico. The bus stop can be found a 100mtrs from the passenger terminal (follow the main road upon leaving the arrivals terminal, on the right-hand side of the road). The journey takes 40 minutes and costs €2.10.

Aero-bus operate a shuttle service between Aeroporto da Madeira and Funchal, and can be found directly outside the passenger terminal. The service from the airport to Funchal operates between 09.15hrs and 00.00hrs. The service between Funchal and the airport is available between 08.15hrs and 23.00hrs. Journey time is 30 minutes, and a one way ticket costs €5.
