Take a drive through the Itria Valley during spring, one of the most stunning times of the year. The country is blooming and lush, and one can find lots of tiny little bars and restaurants dotted around the many towns that lie en-route. Not to be missed, it's Puglia at its most pretty.

Try to find some time to take a trip down to Lecce, the Florence of the south. Full of stunning architecture and wonderfull shops and restaurants it really is one of Puglia's jewels and should not be missed.

Visit Lecce and pay a visit to the La Basilica di Santa Croce. One of the most stunning examples of Baroque architecture in the world. Truly a building that inspires awe be it religous or otherwise.

Torre Guaceto - Possibly the best beach in the vicinity and in July it's still relatively quiet.
