Vienna Airport Guide

By car
Motorway 44 connects Vienna city centre to the airport. The motorway exit marked "Flughafen" (Airport) takes you directly to the terminal. Journey time is approximately 25 minutes, depending on the traffic situation.

By train
The City Airport Train (CAT) takes passengers non-stop from the airport to the City Air Terminal (only ten minutes away from St. Stephen's Cathedral at the Wien-Mitte transport interchange, next to the Vienna Hilton Hotel. It can be reached by underground, bus, tram or taxi). Services run from 05:38 to 23:35, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Single tickets cost €8 per adult, and €5 per child. Return tickets cost €15 per adult, and €8 per child. Children up to the age of 5 always travel free of charge without a ticket in the CAT. One child aged 6 to 14 years accompanied by an adult travels free of charge without a ticket in the CAT.

The S-Bahn trains depart every 30 minutes, and connect the airport and Wien-Mitte train station. Journey time is approximately 24 minutes. Tickets cost from €3, and are valid across the entire Vienna tram and bus system.

By coach
Vienna Airport Lines offers regular bus services between the airport and Schwedenplatz (journey time 20 minutes), UNO-City (journey time 20 minutes), Südbahnhof (journey time 25 minutes), and Westbahnhof (journey time 35 minutes). Tickets cost €6.

By taxi
