possible strike action at London Gatwick on 25 and 30 September

easyJet has been notified of possible strike action by some staff in certain sections of airfield operations at London's Gatwick Airport on the 25 and 30 September 2004. Such action is likely to affect a number of airlines operating from Gatwick on these dates, including easyJet.

easyJet would like to reassure its passengers that we will do everything possible to minimise any disruption and are currently working on a contingency plan. Negotiations are ongoing and we will publish more information once further detail is available.

If you are due to travel between Saturday 25 September 03:00 and Sunday 26 September 02:59 or between Thursday 30 September 03:00 and Friday 1 October 02:59, we recommend passengers carry only hand luggage and take advantage of Europe's most generous hand baggage allowance.

easyJet has no weight restriction on hand baggage, the weight of a bag must be within reason and passengers must be able to lift their bag over their head and place into the overhead locker. The only limit is on the size of the bag (55x40x20cm) in order to fit into the over head locker.
