Unfortunately this means that, if you have not already done so, you
are required to pay the outstanding APD on all flights departing after 1 February 2007. easyJet was one of many airlines which lobbied the Government hard not to increase the tax on flying.
Pay your outstanding APD now by logging into My easyJet.com and selecting the "Pay APD" button where shown.
Contrary to what the Chancellor said, APD is not an effective environmental tax and is simply a means for the Government to raise revenue. However, we have no choice but to implement this tax increase and we must collect the additional tax per departing passenger from you. In effect the government has made easyJet the tax collector.

The terms and conditions you accepted at the time of booking stated that if taxes and charges outside of our control were raised before your flight departed, we would have to pass on the cost to you. We apologise for the need to ask you for the additional payment at this stage, but hope that you appreciate that this is beyond our control. Please remember that if you do not pay the additional charge, you will not be able to take your flight.
If you would like to register your complaint about this tax, please email the Chancellor: ministers@hm-treasury.gsi.gov.uk
