For a taste the history of the city, some of the city's leading museums are well worth a visit, such as the Ulster Museum, or the Ormeau Baths Gallery, which exhibits the work of artists from all over Europe.

Belfast is famous for its many festivals and assortment of different music, from folk and traditional Irish music to Jazz, Blues, Rock and Country. There is also a thriving nightclub scene where you can dance into the small hours.

Airport information

Belfast by road

The airport is located on Sydenham Bypass between Belfast and Holywood on the A2. If using the M1 or M2 you should follow the signs to Belfast City Airport, leading to the A2 via the M3.

Belfast by taxi

Taxis are available from outside the terminal building. The journey to the city centre costs approximately £8.

You can also pre book your door-to-door airport transfer with Holiday Taxis. They cater for the Business and Leisure Traveller.

Belfast by rail

A shuttle bus is available to take you between the airport and the railway station. A train service operates twice daily to Central and Victoria Street Stations (the service is hourly on Sundays).

Belfast by bus

The Airport Express 600 operates every 20 minutes to the Belfast Europa Bus centre from outside the airport. The approximate cost for this service is £2.00 single and £3.00 return.
