Andrew Harrison, easyJet Chief Executive, said:
“In November we announced our results for the year ended 30 September 2005, reporting profit before tax and goodwill of £85m. Our guidance is that we expect to achieve mid to high single-digit percentage profit growth for current year. While we aim to grow our capacity, measured in terms of available seats, by 15% this year, the first part of the year will show a lower growth rate due to the comparison with growth in excess of 25% this time last year.
“In the month that we celebrated our 10th anniversary, we carried over 30 million passengers in a 12 month period for the first time, reflecting the demand for low-cost air travel and our ability to meet it.”
