easyJet now offers a choice of 22 destinations from its base at London Gatwick, which will increase to 25 next month when the seats go on sale for three more routes to Murcia, Rome and Venice. The daily services to Rome and Venice will commence in November and to Murcia in February 2005.
As part of the airline's ongoing expansion plans at London's Gatwick airport, easyJet will also be increasing frequencies from once to twice daily to Madrid and Cologne this summer, and Geneva will also increase to five flights per day this coming winter.
Ray Webster, easyJet Chief Executive, said:
"I am very excited to be announcing new routes and increased frequencies from Gatwick as it marks the next step in our continued, planned expansion from the airport. Taking into account the services we announced today, easyJet will have grown some 40% year on year at London Gatwick.
"The fact that we can start five new routes and add only a single new point to the network underlines why we put so much emphasis on network density and the joining-the-dots element of our growth strategy."
